  I have ordered takeaway from Gokul in the past and been very happy, but tonight I dined in their restaurant for the first time and was thoroughly unimpressed. The meal itself was absolutely incredible, very generous servings and delicious food. However my experience was soured by the waitstaff who were absolutely incompetent.
  
  We were not asked if we would like drinks and practically had to chase a waiter down to order them. The entree took a long time despite the restaurant being empty other than us and two other tables. Once the entree was finished there was then a 20 minute wait for our mains, which arrived without cutlery - we had to go and fetch it ourselves from an empty table because we were unable to attract the attention of the waitstaff.
  
  When we asked for our leftovers to be packaged to-go, we were brought out plastic containers and told to fill them ourselves. Normally I would not mind this at a cheap restaurant, but was absolutely appalled considering the price of the meal and the previous events of the evening. Finally, when paying the bill I was told the price of the meal, asked if I would pay by card or cash and then told goodbye. There was no "how was your meal?", no "enjoy your evening", absolutely nothing beyond the absolute bare minimum they could do to get my money from me.
  
  I have very low standards when it comes to service, but this was absolutely appalling and totally ruined what was meant to be a special evening for me having just graduated University. There is no way I will ever be visiting this establishment again and I would urge all others to avoid it as well.
